Larry Liu
Professor Larry Liu’s law practice focuses on business, construction, and insurance litigation, and covers a range of matters including contract disputes, construction defect claims, insurance coverage, and risk management issues. He has practiced at both large and mid-sized firms, and was in-house counsel for a national engineering company.
Liu speaks frequently at the National Business Institute, covering a range of topics including insurance coverage law, bad faith litigation, indoor air quality, and toxic mold litigation. He has also spoken at The Seminar Group, the Defense Research Institute’s Construction Law Seminar, and at the Property Loss Research Bureau’s Claims Conference about building codes, the future of green building practices, and related litigation.
Liu was a Co-chair of the Bad Faith Subcommittee of the American Bar Association’s Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee. He is admitted to practice in the state courts of California and Hawaii, in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and in the United States District Courts for the District of Hawaii and the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Central Districts of California.
