Michael Holmes
Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Holmes proudly served in the United States Army. After serving overseas for a period of time, Mr. Holmes returned to California and subsequently entered law school. Immediately after law school, Mr. Holmes passed the California State Bar and accepted a position as a Deputy District Attorney.
While serving as a Prosecutor, Mr. Holmes handled misdemeanor and felony criminal cases, as well as numerous appeals. He successfully conducted countless jury trials; handled felony preliminary hearings; conducted hearings/motions relating to various legal issues; and developed a strong understanding of how to be successful inside a courtroom.
Immediately after serving as a Deputy District Attorney, Mr. Holmes opened his own law office left where he defended clients facing charges ranging from lower level misdemeanor charges all the way up to murder cases. Mr. Holmes’ law practice also included workers compensation, family law, business law, and other areas of law.
After successfully managing his own law office for over 15 years, Mr. Holmes closed his law office after he accepted a position as an Administrative Law Judge within the State of California.
Professor Holmes has been a licensed attorney for over 22 years. Professor Holmes currently teaches Criminal Law.
