Rachel Brockl

Professor Rachel Brockl is a seasoned trial attorney and educator with a passion for criminal law and advocacy. She graduated from Golden Gate University School of Law (GGU), where she specialized in Litigation, Criminal Law, and Public Interest. She spent six years as a Deputy District Attorney, conducting over 30 jury trials, before returning to GGU to lead the Litigation Center and the JD Flex program.
For the past six years, Professor Brockl has taught courses in trial advocacy, legal writing, and criminal law. Her articles on trial skills are widely published through the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA). She has been recognized as a Top 40 Young Lawyer by the American Bar Association, Trial Attorney of the Year by the Napa District Attorney’s Office, and Young Lawyer of the Year by the Napa County Bar Association. MADD also honored her as an outstanding DUI prosecutor.
Outside the classroom, she enjoys exploring the arts, working with animals, and discovering the local food scene.
