Tammy Carr, the Registrar for St. Francis School of Law, recently attended the meeting of the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (ACCRO) and the National Network of Law School Officers. “It was fantastic to be able to participate with other law school registrars nationwide, and to get the latest updates,” Carr said. Over 2,000 administrators attended.
Carr attended the presentation by Gayle Murphy, Executive Director of the California State Bar’s Committee of Bar Examiners, who spoke about recent changes to the California State General Bar Exam, and addressed pending issues involving disclosure of bar exam results to law schools.
Attending sessions on law school assessment of learning outcomes, Carr reports that St. Francis School of Law is in an excellent position in terms of gathering and reporting information on student learning outcomes. The St. Francis Juris Doctor program leverages technology to gather and report learning outcomes, based on professors’ online grading of assignments.
